Self-Install Kit

1. Unbox both the Sony UBP-X700 and the R_volution Chassis.
2. Open the Sony player — guided by the included manual and companion video.
3. Remove the mainboard and optical drive.
4. Transfer both into the R_volution Chassis.
5. Connect the included ribbons and cables.
6. Close the chassis, connect HDMI and power.
7. Total time: approximately 30 minutes.

No soldering. No wire cutting. No modifications to any electronic components. If you can follow instructions and use a screwdriver, you can do this.

Pre-Installed Option

1. Unbox the fully assembled player.

Q: Is the Sony player in this bundle the same one 220 Electronics sells separately?

Q: Can I buy the Pre-Installed option and still access the Sony's original chassis later?
When you choose Pre-Installed, the Sony internals have already been transferred to the R_volution chassis. The original Sony housing is not included in the shipment. If you need the original chassis retained, choose the Self-Install Kit. Please note that your warranty is through us  — and you will not need the original Sony chassis for warranty purposes.
