One thing worth knowing before you order: nearly every 220V vacuum we carry, corded and cordless alike, is built specifically for 220 to 240V power and will not run on a standard 110V U.S. outlet. If you're using one stateside before shipping it overseas, or you already own one and need it to run here, a properly sized step-up transformer is the right solution for standard suction vacuums. Steam mops and carpet shampooers are the exception.

Can I use a voltage converter with a 220V vacuum cleaner?
Yes, for standard suction vacuums, sized to roughly double the vacuum's wattage. We don't recommend converters for steam mops or carpet shampooers, since these use a heating element rather than just a motor; buy the 220V version of those directly instead.
