Standard or Heavy Duty: Which One Do You Need?

PSI and bar are the numbers that matter most here, since they tell you how much power is behind the spray. Customers use these for washing floors, cleaning cement, clearing debris, cleaning patios, and washing cars, and this whole lineup covers that range.

1,600 PSI is the standard rating in this lineup. The heavy-duty models simply put out more bar and more wattage for jobs that take longer to cut through; there's no strict rule for which PSI a given job needs, so if you're between tiers, sizing up gives you more room to spare.

Every unit here is electric. We currently don't carry gas models, and all of them are built for 220-240V current, generally at 50Hz. Most ship pre-fitted with a rounded Euro plug or a UK plug; if your outlet takes something else, swapping the plug (never a converter) does the job.

What is the difference between a 220V and 240V pressure washer?

In practice, none. Our units are built for the full 220-volt to 240-volt range, so a model labeled 220V and one labeled 240V run on the same power band and perform the same way.

Can I use a 220V electric pressure washer on a 240V outlet?

Yes. Every pressure washer we carry is rated for 220-240V power and generally runs at 50Hz, so a 240V outlet is well within range.

How many watts does an electric pressure washer use?

Our lineup runs from 1,300 watts on standard-duty models up to 2,200 watts on heavier-duty units. Wattage is listed on each individual listing if you want the exact figure before ordering.

Will a 220V pressure washer work in the US?

No. US homes are wired for 110-120V, and this equipment is built for 220-240V only, so a typical American outlet won't power it. It's meant for overseas use or a vessel wired for 220V.

What PSI do 220V electric pressure washers deliver?

1,600 PSI (about 105 bar) is standard across most of our lineup, with heavy-duty models reaching up to 2,000 PSI (165 bar) for tougher jobs.

Can I use a 220V pressure washer with a step-up transformer?

We generally don't recommend it. These motors draw a heavy surge of power at startup, and running one through a step-up transformer adds strain and reliability risk. It's simpler to buy a 220V unit outright for overseas use, or a 110V model for the US. If you already have one and are not purchasing a new one you can try a voltage transformer that is 3 - 5 times the power in wattage of the wattage used by the power washer. 

What should I look for when buying a 220V electric pressure washer?

Compare PSI or bar rating for cleaning power, wattage, hose length, and included accessories like nozzles or a detergent tank. Confirm the plug too: most are already fitted for a European or UK outlet, and an adapter handles the rest.

Can I use a 220V high pressure washer for washing cars?

Yes, that's a common way people use these. A wider fan nozzle and some distance from paint and trim are generally recommended to avoid damage.
