Most destinations outside North America run on 220V 50/60Hz, mainly 50Hz, though some countries need 220V 60Hz instead, and we stock both. There's a mechanical reason for that. On 50Hz power, a drum motor built for 60Hz turns roughly 17 percent slower, so wash agitation, spin speed, and cycle length all shift. That's why we recommend buying a washer already built for your destination before you leave the US, rather than adapting a US one later. US-size washers also tend to run larger than overseas models, so buying before you go is the easier path to more capacity.
