220 air conditioner

What Size Air Conditioner Do You Need?

Match your room to the right BTU size before you buy.

Room Size BTU Best For
Small 9,000 BTU Bedroom, home office, or similar small space
Medium to Large 12,000–18,000 BTU Large bedroom, living room, or family room
Extra Large 24,000 BTU Open-plan living area or commercial space

Not sure? Size up. An oversized unit just cycles on and off; an undersized one runs constantly and never quite cools the room.

FAQs

What brands of 220V air conditioners do you carry?

We stock Sharp, Samsung, LG, and more. Many customers come to us specifically for that quality after seeing what's available locally and overseas, and many of them come back for more units once they see how the first one performs.

Should I buy a split system or a portable AC?

It depends on your situation. Split systems are the most popular (quiet, efficient, and ideal for a home or apartment you're settling into), though they need professional installation. Portable units are self-contained, need no installation, and are a great fit for renters or anyone who wants to move a cooling unit from room to room.

How are split air conditioners installed?

Split systems need a professional, and it's not a DIY job. When the unit arrives, a technician mounts the indoor unit, installs the outdoor unit, runs the refrigerant lines between them, and ensures the electrical connection is correct. A proper install also includes a drain line for the condensation the unit produces. In most countries our customers move to, local HVAC technicians do this routinely, so just plan and budget for it before the unit arrives.

What sizes do your split air conditioners come in?

Our split systems come in 9,000, 12,000, 18,000, and 24,000 BTU, so you can match the unit to anything from a single bedroom up to a large open living area or commercial space.

Do you ship air conditioners internationally?

We sell and ship our units within the US; customers receive them here, then arrange the overseas leg themselves, whether that's in a shipping container, as part of a household move, or through a freight forwarder. We don't typically handle international shipping directly, but our team is glad to walk you through your options before you order.

Do I need anything else to run the air conditioner overseas?

As long as you're in a 220–240V / 50Hz country, the unit is built to run on local power directly. Split systems will need professional installation and a proper drain line, but no voltage converter or special equipment is required for the power itself.
