Fuel-wise, there are really three routes:
An induction cooktop 220V households pick most often these days. It heats the pan directly through an electromagnetic field rather than heating the glass surface first, so it only works with magnetic cookware, cast iron, and most stainless steel, not aluminum or glass. It's the fastest of the three to heat and the easiest to wipe down.
Same glass-top look as induction, but models like the GE/Hotpoint HR724B and EF Elba HB-AV-460A heat the surface itself through resistive coils rather than the cookware base. A little slower to respond, a little more forgiving on cookware.
Runs on natural gas. But several of the gas cooktops we carry connect to LP/LPG too, and that matters more overseas than it does here, since a lot of the countries we ship to don't have natural gas lines running to the kitchen at all. The Culina UBGOG901BK ships with the conversion jets included, and the Whirlpool GMWL958IXL and Russell Hobbs RH86GH702SS both list LP/natural gas connection as well. Electricity only handles the ignition spark, so voltage matters far less here than it does on the electric side.

Here's the reassuring part. A 240V induction cooktop and a 220V one are, in practice, the same appliance. Every model in this lineup lists its voltage as a 220-240V range rather than a single fixed number, so it's one appliance sold across that whole band, not two different products.
Frequency is where it actually gets model-specific. Most of what we carry runs on 50Hz. But a few models, including the Cata Europe 30-inch induction cooktop and Bosch PUE611BEF1B, list dual 50Hz/60Hz support right on the spec sheet. Others, like the AEG IKE95751FB, are 50Hz only, so it's worth checking the individual product page rather than assuming.
Here's one thing worth knowing before you order: none of the induction cooktops here come with a plug. Cata Europe, Culina CATAUBIND90F, Bosch, and the AEG flagship are all hardwired, meant to be wired in by an electrician rather than plugged into a wall outlet. It's not a voltage question; it's an installation one, so plan for an electrician alongside the appliance itself.

In practical terms, none. Overseas power runs 220 to 240 volts depending on the country, and our induction cooktops are built to handle that whole range, so an induction cooktop rated 240V performs the same as one rated 220V on the same overseas circuit. The number on the spec sheet is really just telling you which end of that range the manufacturer tested it at.

We don't recommend it. A step-up transformer can supply the right voltage, but it won't fix the 50 Hz vs. 60 Hz mismatch or comfortably carry the 32- 45 amp draw these units pull, so a US model converted overseas is more likely to underperform or trip a breaker than cook a proper meal. Buying a cooktop built for 220V, 50Hz from the start is the safer route.
