The Power Meta Brain / Meta Brain Pro 100 engines deploya powerful LSI that uses 5 advance technologies to achieve10-bit processing for all stages from input to output. While8-bit technology can produce 16 million colours, 10-bitproduces 64 times as many, or over 1 billion colours. Thismuch larger quantity of data means that the colours you seeare more accurate and the transitions between colours aresmoother. The result is a much more realistic picture,delivering all the vivid colour intensity that was presentin the original source.

Resolution Plus

Resolution Plus is a new Toshiba technology that elevatesstandard definition images up to high definitionquality. It upscales the image to HD-level resolution,then downscales it and compares the two images.

The differences (noise, etc., that degrade the originalimage) are removed, so the remaining SD image that'soutput is much closer in quality to the HD image.

Only Toshiba's powerful image processing can achievethis. Resolution+ also analyses and refines the pictureto improve the rendering of edges, textures and depth.

Exact Scan Mode

The Exact Scan Mode maximizes the performance of Full HDpanels by displaying the full HD image of 1920 x 1080 inREGZA Full HD models.

When a HD video signal (1080i/1080p) is input into aconventional WXGA LCD panel (1366 x 768), the signalundergoes a scaling process, which does not output the truequality of the HD 1080i/1080p signal. Consequently, therewill only be 92% of the original picture displayed on screenafter scaling.

With Exact Scan Mode, uncompromising pixel-to-pixelreproduction is created, achieving a true-to-original1080i/1080p input signal quality.

ClearScan 100

The ClearScan 100 Pro technology adds new frames in betweenthe original transmitted frames to create seamless motionimages.

It uses 360 degree motion estimation, complex mathematicsand 14-bit video processing to calculate the movementrequired by each pixel. Hence, each frame is held on screenfor only 1/100th of a second to eliminate pixel drift andreduce blurring.

On certain models, a USB port and an SD card slot areprovided, so you can enjoy viewing photos you have stored onUSB memory devices or SD cards.

This smarttelevision will adapt itself to the amount of light in your roomto show the most optimal picture. There is a sensor in the TVthat will detect the amount of light in room the tv is in.

In a bright room during the day. In rooms with large windows or bright lights, the luminance can be more than 1,500 lux. Settings are automatically adjusted for best picture.		In a dimly lit room in the evening. The luminance in these types of rooms will vary from about 50 to 400 lux. The TV adjusts its contrast to best match the illumination.		Watching a movie in dark room. A dark room will only have about 20 lux of light. The picture is adjusted to provide the clearest image in this low light.

Intelligent Backlight Control

Precise adjustment of the backlight behind the pixel array isnecessary to obtain optimum picture quality. In REGZA LCD TVs,the brightness of the backlight is automatically adjustedaccording to a sophisticated histogram analysis of thebrightness and location of dark portions in each scene. Deeperblacks in dark scenes (where dark portions cover most of thescreen) are reproduced by reducing the intensity of thebacklight, resulting in greatly improved contrast.
