The YHT-185 gives you the high-quality HTR-5930 5.1-channel Yamaha receiver (amplifier plus AM/FM stereo tuner) and 5.1-channel speaker package NSP-270 (5 satellite speakers and subwoofer).
The Yamaha YHT185 is a complete home theater system with a 5.1-channel receiver, a voice-matched speaker system (with four main speakers and a center speaker), and a powered subwoofer. The receiver features five-channel discrete amplification (110 watts x 5) to provide the cleanest sound possible on all channels, along with decoding for DTS, Dolby Digital, and Dolby Pro Logic II sound. The unit's 32-bit Cinema DSP processing projects three sound fields: a presence field in the front and two surround-sound fields in the left and right rear for powerful, realistic 3-D sound-scapes. In addition, the device includes Silent Cinema, a variation of Cinema DSP technology that allows you to listen to movies and other multichannel sources using stereo headphones. Its total of 21 Cinema-DSP surround modes gives you the versatility to find a sound mode for every media type.
