This is a great player for the price. There are many pro's of this model. The main con or reason to look at alternatives would be the lack of wifi. Most people do not use blu-rays for streaming anymore anyway since most tv's are smart. However the wifi can also be used for firmware updates. Since this is a UHD 4k player we feel it is important to be able to easily update firmware when needed for that reason we would recommend the Sony UBP-X700 Region free if this is something that converns you. Also the Sony player in our opinion is a more durable reliable player.
