What's New
There's more than one way to put that
built-in camera to use - like sending photos as MMS messages or
making new wallpapers for your phone. You can also add photographs
to your phone book so you can put a face to the name of the person
who's calling.
Tune out of the hustle and bustle and tune in to the FM radio,
either with the headset or the loudspeaker - both of which can also
be used for handsfree calling.
Put more into your Java™-enabled Nokia 6610i phone and you'll get
more out of it - such as Time Out Mobile City Guides, converters,
and other applications. You can also order add-on applications for
business and pleasure from Nokia Software Market. |

Memory Functions
Total user memory area in the Nokia 6610i is approximately 4 MB. The
following features in this phone may share memory: phone book, text
and multimedia messages, images and ringing tones in gallery,
calendar, to-do notes, and Java games and applications. Using any such
features may reduce the memory available for any features sharing
memory. This is especially true with heavy use of any of the features
(although some of the features may have a certain amount of memory
specially allotted to them in addition to the amount of memory shared
with other features). For example, saving many images, bookmarks, java
apps, etc. may take all of the shared memory and your phone may
display a message that the memory is full. In this case, delete some
of the information or entries stored in the shared memory features
before continuing.
The following functions use shared memory that is dependent on the
data quantity per item and shared memory available at a time in the
Nokia 6610i phone:
- Phone book: Up to 500 contacts with all entries filled in
addition to SIM card contacts
- SMS messages: Up to 150 text messages or 50 concatenated
messages
- Calendar notes: Up to 250 maximum-size entries

* This product uses shared or static memory for different functions.
Shared memory means that the available memory is shared between shared
memory functions. When any of these functions is used, there is less
available memory for other functions which are also dependent on shared
memory. Static memory means that a certain amount of memory is allocated
to each static memory function.

- GSM phones require the purchase of
a SIM card for startup. This card is provided by your service provider
or can be purchased from us if you will be traveling overseas.
GSM carriers in the USA include Voicestream, AT&T, & Cingular.
These carriers are great for using your phone in the USA. However if
you will be going overseas with your phone, these carriers charge outrageous
roaming charges.
So if you will be taking the phone overseas you will need
to purchase a Sim Card from your destination country or you will need
to purchase a
Country
specific sim card from us before you leave. Please see
below for more info.
- Instruction manuals for these
phones may not be in English. These phones are manufactured in Europe
so they might have European language manuals. You can usually download
an English manual from the manufacturer's websites.
- NOTE: Our phones are unlocked so you
can use them with any carrier. You may find this phone cheaper if it
is locked but you will have to sign a service contract and will not be
able to use the phone with any other carrier. This means that if you
buy a phone from AT&T or VoiceStream, it will be locked and you
will not be able to use it with a different service provider in Europe
or any other country.

-
Country
specific sim cards are available on our website so you can
start using your phone the minute you get off the plane at your
destination country. You can always purchase a SIM Card at the country
which you are traveling to or moving to, however it may take a while
to go to a shop. If you buy the SIM CARD before you go, you will not
need to worry about doing that when you get there. Also our cards
offer some of the best rates or domestic and international rates.
