unit does not convert between PAL and NTSC. To record in
PAL this unit must receive a PAL signal. To record in
NTSC this unit must receive an NTSC signal. If you need
to convert signals between PAL and NTSC we suggest you
also buy a
video converter.
THIS is a great dvd/vcr
recorder combo to use in the USA with a Multi system tv,
or with a video converter. If you have a normal NTSC tv
in the USA and don't buy a video converter, you will not
be able to watch Pal dvds or VHS cassettes on your NTSC
without a converter.
It can be used
outside the USA in Euope or Asia in a country that
supports pal with no additioanl equipment. It will play
and record any dvd and any vcr overseas in Asia or
Europe with no problem, and with no additional
equipment.
